Summer is that time we long for all year! As soon as the sun comes out, everyone's mood seems to lift. At last, you can feel the warmth of the sunshine on your skin, wear that summer dress that's been sitting in your wardrobe for months, enjoy long evenings with a glass (or two) of rosé and get a beautiful bronzed glow. But the sun can damage your skin too… That's why we're here with a few tips to help you keep your skin beautiful all summer long!
The cold, wind and sun, can trigger reactions and leave your skin unhappy. In summer, your skin is busy fighting dehydration and looking for ways to hold in moisture. One way is to produce a hydrolipidic film which helps to prevent water loss but you need also to drench it in moisture!
In winter, temperatures are lower and the air is drier. As a result, your skin becomes incredibly sensitive. Repairing and nourishing products are called for. In summer, the skin sweats and becomes dehydrated. Pores dilate and sebum production increases. What your skin needs now is hydration.
Our skin has a 24-hour natural cycle that can be broken down into phases: morning, evening and night. In summer, we recommend starting the day with a moisturising cream along with a mattifying formula to keep shine at bay. In the evening, to regenerate the skin, use a richer cream and complete with a product designed specifically for the night.
Your toenails are a mess and your heels are dry ? They can be saved – with a little help from our Shea Butter Foot Cream! Begin by applying it from the toes to the top of the feet. Then apply to the soles, using circular movements with both your thumbs, before moving on to the ankles and Achilles tendon. Finish with a general, gentle massage.
