I love this product, it melts all make up away and removes mascara without damaging your eyelashes, in fact mine have grown in 5 weeks of using it and look longer! Must have product.
Whist in store, I was recommended this cleanser as I have combination skin. I must admit I wasn’t sure at first thinking it would make my oily t-zone worse. I couldn’t be more wrong. Not only does it remove makeup, it also cleanses my skin and is the first step in my skin care routine. My skin is soft and smooth after using it, I’m so glad I tried it.
I bought this cleanser with the intention of it being my one and only daily skin cleanser, to use it in the shower to remove make up and cleanse my face. I was a wee hesitant given the ‘oil’ nature of the cleanser, having tried other oil-based cleansers that left my eyes feeling oily and vision slightly blurry. The woman in the Hobart store was terrific. She let me sample it in store. I love this cleanser. It smells beautiful, feels like velvet on the skin and works wonderfully to remove my make up. It does not leave me feeling oily, nor leave any oily residue on my skin or around my eyes/eyelashes. Sometimes I’ll do two applications in the shower, but you don’t need much product at all to get it lathered up. I don’t follow with anything other than my night time moisturiser. It’s all I’ll buy for a cleanser from now on!
Ive used the immortelle oil cleanser for more years than I can remember and always loved it, silky, removed all make up easily, had a real “quality” feel to it- never crossed my mind to even look at other cleansers. Having run out of my stash I bought once I heard it was being discontinued I’ve just started on my first bottle of the “new” version. This does not in any way compare in terms of the silky smooth product it was, it feels cheap and whilst I’ll not go as far as others with the smell, it’s not one I’d call pleasant. For the first time I’m disappointed in a L’Occitane product and, also for the first time, have decided that once this bottle is done, I’ll give another brand a go. It does remove my make up and doesn’t appear to be drying my skin out or having any negative effects- but it’s just not anywhere near as nice a product to use- as another reviewer says, it’s more akin to vegetable oil than the quality, smooth, silky product this was,
